ABOUT US
The El Dorado Hills Professional Firefighters represent the over sixty professional firefighters and paramedics that are sworn to protect and serve the citizens of El Dorado Hills, California.
We are trained in structural and wildland fire suppression, paramedicine, hazardous materials mitigation, technical rescue, and vehicle extrication (to name a few). Working with the EDHFD Board of Directors and Executive Staff, we are an active and dedicated participant in advocating for the most rapid, safe, and effective fire suppression, emergency medical, and hazard mitigation service available to our fellow citizens.
As part of the International Association of Firefighters we are advocates for professional and well-trained firefighters and paramedics. Like any union, we serve our members in traditional areas like contract negotiation and legal representation. However, our guiding principle is to ensure that we strive to deliver the very best service possible to the citizens of El Dorado Hills. Both on and off-duty, you will find our members as active participants in helping make El Dorado Hills a wonderful community. Whether it’s providing advanced life support to a neighbor suffering from a medical emergency or collecting donated food and toys during the holiday season for those less fortunate, the El Dorado Hills Professional Firefighters are dedicated to serving our citizens with pride and integrity.
